Corpus

26th September 2010, W_Lf_rt project space, Wolphaertstraat 25, Rotterdam.

Bread is one of the most common foods in the world, produced for many thousands of years, and has conditioned the growth of our civilization and the development of our culture.

Like a plant developing and adapting to weather conditions, bread has evolved with various ingredients, shapes, methods of preparation and tastes, all of which are completely related to the place and conditions of production. Around the world, bread is one of the most important foods, a staple, which accompanies our dishes and our lives.

Participants were asked to compare experiences about bread and to translate them with different ingredients into a personal and unique bread.

Each participant introduced and shared the produced bread with everyone, as each participant shared his or her own history.

Corpus 2010 was hosted by Giuseppe Licari & Dursun Koca with the special collaboration of Dora Pistillo and with the music of Dagmar DJ.

This event was supported by Mya – Nac cultural fonds.
