Marmalade is an ancient recipe, discovered as first by the Roman trough the cooking process of quinces. Since then Marmelo was invented as a way to preserve fruits with honey bath. Marmelo derives from Latin melimelum, “honey apple”, which comes from the earlier Greek μελίμηλον (melímēlon), from “μέλι” (meli), “honey” and “μήλον” (mēlon), “apple”. The participants were asked to prepare four different marmalade recipes with the fresh harvested fruits and vegetables from the market and from our garden. The collaboration was needed in order to realize a tasty Marmalade. Fresh Mojitos were served to the participant during the process and once all marmalades have been prepared, people proved their creations with Dutch cheese and bread, a warm summer taste for cold Nordic days.

Marmalade Madness 2010 was hosted by Giuseppe Licari & Dursun Koca.
