The pasta fresca workshop was the first opening event of the Spaghetti Forever project. The creation of hand made Sicilian spaghetto, one of the first made in the world, following the original recipe and accompanied by a typical fish recipe, in Dutch style. The combination of cultures, so far away from each other, through a variety of ingredients and the creation of a new taste. The participants had to learn how to prepare and to apply their newly gained knowledge into making the fresh pasta, the special sauce and all the rest needed for the dinner. People unknown to each other were immediately after the first onion, old friends. The dinner was served in a special setting in a “spago” installation.
At the end of the dinner the participants were invited to watch the movie “La grand bouffe”, from Marco Ferreri, 1973. The film tells the story of four friends who gather in a villa for the weekend with the expressed purpose of eating themselves to death.
